Markets in Sant Joan d'Alacant run on three days each week, giving you plenty of chances to browse fresh produce, clothing and local goods in this residential town just north of Alicante.
The Saturday market on Carrer del Mercat is the main one, with around 30 stalls selling fruit, vegetables and textiles. On Thursdays, the Muchavista neighbourhood hosts its own market on Avenida Elda with handicrafts, footwear and flowers. Sundays bring the Santa Faz market on Avenida de Alicante, the largest of the three with roughly 40 stalls.
