Javea Park Market — Charity Rastro

Antiques are the whole of it. The stalls sell old and second-hand pieces, not the produce, clothing and household goods a general weekly market runs on, and a charity rastro's stock turns over, so what is on the tables changes from one Sunday to the next. Everything is in the open air with no covered section, which is worth knowing on a wet Sunday morning. Card acceptance at the stalls is not confirmed, so carry cash for anything you plan to buy.

Staying in the old town area puts you close to the market and gives you easy access to Javea's shops and cafes on foot. Try Javea Old Town for a central base, or Javea Port if you prefer to be near the waterfront with restaurants and bars close by.

If you want something more comfortable, Parador de Jávea is a well-known option right on the beach at Arenal, just a short drive from the market. It fills up fast in summer, so book ahead if you're visiting during the warmer months.
